Eek! I'm actually doing this!
My first blog post. I'm actually just copying my About Page and hitting publish just to get the blog live!
So ... a little bit about myself.
I'm 43 years old, in the post seperation stage of getting free from narcissistic abuse.
We have a young child together and I'm gearing up for the legal process to protect our child. I am no contact and have been for many months now.
I am published author, blogger and have experience of using biography for social change. So here we are.
I have been supported by my local domestic abuse services for 8 months now, Refuge National Domestic Abuse Helpline for almost 2 years and I've had support from Women's Aid. I was also supported by my local NHS, with an Occupational Health Worke and used the Samaritans helpline a fair bit too. I am so grateful to every single person who has supported me, whether that be in person or on the other end of a phone.
I plan on writing my story from when we first crossed paths to now. Then it will become a live blog, most likely through the court process to come. I intend to examine the details of my lived experience to showcase all aspects of narcissistic abuse; the confusion, the self blame, the disbelief, with lots of examples of lovebombing, gaslighting, devaluation, triangualtion and all the other components of narcissistic abuse.
I was a million shattered pieces by the time I was entering into the post seperation abuse. Now I am rising strong. Hence the name of this blog.
I hope this blog helps other survivors and acts as a resource of lived experience for professionals trying to make our world a better place.
It is important this blog remains anonymous so I can write in detail about my journey.
Please do use the contact form if you would like to connect, but for confidentiality reasons I will be using the pseudonym Sara.
Thank you
